Rockland Federal Credit Union (RFCU) is searching for a Residential Lending Processor to join our Residential Lending team. This role will take your residential mortgage processing experience to the next level!

A day in the life of the Residential Lending Processor

Working out of our Rockland Headquarters, your role as a Residential Lending Processor will combine the initial application activities for both home equity loans and 1-4 family residential loans. You will assist in resolving problems and respond to questions related to all aspects of the processes.

You will also prepare commitment and denial letters and send disclosure notices. Your other duties will include reviewing documentation, title rundown, assisting with resolving title issues with attorneys and/or other lenders, and screening loan files. All while working within appropriate product guidelines and coordinating and communicating loan information to appropriate parties.

Skills & Requirements

Equivalent to a High School Diploma; 1 to 2 years of prior experience processing residential mortgages, preferably in a bank or credit union environment. Strong knowledge of lending regulations (e.g., TRID, RESPA, HMDA, Safe Act, TILA). Ability to communicate with mortgage applicants.

Ability to understand complex mortgage products. Ability to perform work with accuracy and detail. Ability to organize and work independently, juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule to include Saturday rotation. Knowledge of Encompass, Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of MeridianLink a plus.

Work Schedule and Benefit

As a Residential Lending Processor, you will work a 40-hour full-time schedule which does include a rotating Saturday.
