This position is responsible for:
Ensuring the borrower understands their part in the origination process
Ensuring the timely closing of all loans originated
Being the main point of contact with the borrower post application date
Ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and complies with state and federal compliance
Reviewing file documentation and making sure all items needed are requested
Following up with all 3rd party orders
Working with underwriters and management on loan exceptions
Communicating counter-offers to the customer
Maintaining a high level of confidentiality
Performing additional duties/activities as assigned by management
Working as part of a team
Working with onsite equipment
PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Associates degree or 4 year college degree preferred, customer service and sales experience essential, 3-5 years originating, processing or underwriting mortgage loans. Knowledge of investor and insurer underwriting guidelines, all applicable regulatory guidelines, secondary market and Northwest loan products and guidelines. Knowledge of government loan products and programs preferred.
REQUIRED: Per the SAFE Act, registration with NMLSR and annual renewal as a condition of employment.
