In this entry-level role, you will work independently in customers' homes and outdoors to install XFINITY products and services or troubleshoot reported issues as quickly as possible. During these visits, you'll build rapport with customers to ensure a positive experience each and every time.

What's more, you'll have the chance to receive performance-based recognition and rewards that signify your success.To excel in this role, you must have superior communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. Up to 2 years of related experience is a plus, but not required.

JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE Provide phone and hands on support to end users at domestic and international locations on a variety of computer related issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support. Tracks and monitors the problem to insure a timely resolution. Documents, maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, upgrades or repairs and replaces computer hardware and software. Travel is required to other facilities (approximately 5%). Able to resolve all level 1, 2 and some level 3 problems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Answers, evaluates, logs, and prioritizes incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. Interviews user to collect information about problem and leads user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of error. Handles problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine user problems, referring more complex problems to supervisor or technical staff. Installs personal computers, software, and peripheral equipment. Monitors service requests assigned to other first level technicians to supply training and knowledge transfer when appropriate. Writes or revises Service Desk technical documentation. Provides individual software and hardware training. Provides first-level network administration support (create user accounts, assists in file restores, maintain passwords, increase user space, and provide rights to some areas). Resolves all first level user problems Conducts self in a manner that always conveys a strong degree of professionalism, tact, and commendable customer service. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related degree is required. Technical knowledge of current company standard applications and network operations including but not limited to: Windows 7/10, MS Office, TCP/IP, Visual Windows Server (2003-current), Lotus Notes, Outlook/O365, FTP, DNS, SAP and DHCP. Practical operating knowledge of Ethernet and WAN technology required. Must be an excellent communicator with management, end users and other technicians.
