Residential Hvac Service Technician

Job Description Job Description Position Summary: To provide maintenance on residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards providing the customer with a high quality experience.

Must have mastered level 2 criteria demonstrated by showing continuous improvement in callback rate, job efficiency, documentation, and client feedback; and two additional years of experience. Shows a strong proficiency in diagnostics and provides solutions to problems diagnosed and implements them successfully. Must have a current NATE certification in at least one discipline.

Required Qualifications / Achievements: Valid driver’s license Possesses all required personal tools Demonstrate willingness to invest time in service training seminars and classes Work from 20’ extension ladder and 12’ step ladder Ability to operate power and hand tools safely Enroll in HVAC technical school and/or in house training programs Ability to follow written and verbal directions as given Demonstrate commitment to developing customer service skills EPA certification Demonstrates diagnostic aptitude Insurable driving record Desired Qualifications / Achievements: HVAC Tech School certificate Condensate repair Gastite/TracPipe certification Gas furnace diagnostics, repair, & venting NATE Core Certification & 1 discipline Schematic reading, comprehension, and application OSHA 10 Heat pump electrical repair, refrigerant leak detection and repair (brazing), oil heat maintenance and repair Essential Functions and Responsibilities: · Arrive at jobsite at scheduled time and location as dispatched · Relocate from one jobsite to another jobsite as dispatched during the workday · Report to dispatcher when arriving and leaving jobsite · Operate company vehicle as needed · Follow instructions from supervisor and/or dispatcher and carry out in timely manner · Report problems with company tools or vehicle promptly · Report problems with equipment to Service Dispatcher to expedite parts delivery · Communicate with customers and collect C.O.D. on maintenance visits as directed · Ability to work staggered schedule if required · Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times · Complete all service-related forms properly · Inform, educate, and offer customers JK Alliance memberships · Inform, educate, and offer customers additional products and services available through company · Inform customer of equipment replacement options following company guidelines · Further develop knowledge of electrical and refrigeration principles · Further develop knowledge of service tools and testing devices · Further develop soldering and brazing skills · Further develop customer service skills. · Other duties as assigned Success Factors / Job Competencies:
