Vander Hyde Mechanical, a family-owned business located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids is seeking an experienced, motivated HVAC Residential Installer! VHM is a growing leader in the residential and commercial Heating, Cooling, Plumbing and Electrical trades and has proudly been in business for over 34 years! The Residential HVAC Installer has an advanced knowledge of how to maintain, repair, diagnose and correctly install or replace HVAC systems. Work involves troubleshooting, installing and repairing equipment, developing and presenting recommendations to customers and documenting records from each installation.

Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities required:

• Strong Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills

• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams

• Knowledge and understanding of refrigeration cycles

• Ability to lead and work on a team

• Must be able to perform work duties satisfactorily.

• Knowledge and ability to meet local HVAC codes

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Ability to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items and work from heights or small spaces.

• Ability to pass background check.

To perform this job successfully candidates must have:

• Type II EPA Certification or EPA Universal

• Driver's License and Insurable driving record

• 2 or more years' experience

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday

• Friday 8:00 am

• 5:00 pm Based on demand, hours may vary.

Pay Range: $26 - $38 / per hour
