Residential - Direct Support Professional

New Horizons, a nonprofit serving special needs adults in the San Fernando Valley for more than 60 years, seeks a self-starter to be a Direct Support Professional- Caregiver.

This will be a very rewarding experience for reliable people who have a passion to help others.

A perfect part-time or second job!

No experience necessary. We are willing to train the right candidate.

Rate: $18.50 - $19.25

SUMMARY: Assist residents to succeed in a residential and independent homes by teaching them personal living skills and joining them in recreational activities.

We are particularly looking for the open shifts below:

• Schedule 1: Friday- Sunday: 3:00pm- 10:00pm
• Schedule 2: Saturday- Sunday: 7:00am- 3:00pm or 3:00pm- 10:00pm
• Schedule 3: (Floater) Monday- Sunday: 2:00pm- 10:00pm or Overnight

Requirements

• Must speak English
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience with special needs / developmental disabilities (preferred)
• Driver's License for 3+ years required. Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be willing to drive an 8-passanger van.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
