JOB DESCRIPTION
The Supervisor of Residential Dining is a working supervisor responsible for managing day to day operations of Kimball Main Dining Hall. The supervisor will be planning, organizing and directing shifts to provide quality student meals and overseeing production, service and clean up.
Daily responsibilities include, purchasing, staffing, training, cash handling and food production as well as ensuring consistency of food quality, food presentation, quality customer service and sanitation. This position is also responsible for all non-exempt job performance reviews and progressive discipline procedures when needed and supervision of the student work force. Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management, related field or equivalent experience required.
Experience in volume dining operations preferred. Demonstrates professional supervisory, customer service and communications skills.
Certification in ServSafe (food safety/sanitation), TIPS (Alcohol Intervention Methods) and Food Allergy Awareness training required. Technical knowledge and experience in FoodPro or related systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel necessary. Needs to be open minded, approachable, professional, hands on, creative, flexible and lead by example.
DAYS & HOURS:
Holy Cross Dining staff are considered Emergency Essential Personnel and are required to report during times of inclement weather. Must be flexible. Schedule may change depending on the needs of the department.
CURRENT SCHEDULE: Sunday, Monday, Friday & Saturday / 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM
TIME COMMITMENT: 40 Hours / 52 Weeks
