Responsible for the direct supervision of TPW's on assigned cottage/shift; Responsible for scheduling & assigning staff on shift; Provides assistance & staff training on implementation of new policies & procedures when needed; Monitors implementation of client's IPP by reviewing chart documentation to assure prescribed programs are being followed; Assures appropriate program coordinators are in attendance at staffing; Assures compliance with federal & state standards by completing weekly unit inspections; Prepares & submits to respective departments of the Center work orders & requisitions for supplies & equipment to maintain compliance levels; completes & submits periodic checklists on the monitoring of QA (compliance) issues noting areas of compliance/deficiencies & action taken; Is familiar with & adheres to appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement Specifications. Participates on interview/selection committee for hiring of new employees; Has knowledge of & is familiar with ICF/DD guidelines. Monitors client's monthly clothing inventories; monitors unusual incidents; monitors & initials employee's daily sign-in/out log & processes employee requests for leave recommending approval/disapproval to the Superintendent; Assures timely processing of employee's Accident or Illness Reports; Completes employee performance evaluations; Prepares & submits daily & monthly reports; Attends management meetings, in-services, workshops & seminars as required; Performs other related duties as required.
24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in providing care to patients &/or in participating in development &/or carrying out of patients' habilitation plans & preferably for those who had developmental disabilities or mental disability, & in implementing & carrying out same.
