Residential Behavior Specialist

Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is looking for a Residential Behavior Specialist who is responsible to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of the individuals in the program and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges. Responsible for collecting and analyzing data for analysis and training employees on specialized behavioral intervention methods. General Residential Treatment Facilities are Joint Commission accredited homes for children under the age of 18 who have been removed from their family home to a diagnosed mental or behavioral health need. These individuals have often received other types of community-based care, or other residential placements, prior to coming to Beacon Light. With multiple facilities, Beacon Light can place children where they are likely to receive care from a team best suited to their needs..

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This position requires an active driver's license and a DMV check that is clear. Position may require travel in the local community or to assist with individuals attending required appointments or visits 25-50% of the time.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Must have a Master's Degree in a Human Service related field.

• Licensure from the State of Pennsylvania in one of the following areas is preferred: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS), or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

• Must also demonstrate comprehension (preferably certification) in one of the established behavior modification techniques (ABA, FBA).

• Prior experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Health issues is preferred.
