Summary

About the Position: This position is with Long Beach DVA Resident Office, DVA Construction Management Branch, Construction Division located in Long Beach California
Responsibilities

Maintains stand-alone Resident Office operating budget.
Coordinates all fiscal functions involving the establishment of budgets and the maintenance and control of multiple funds covering all activities of the Resident Office, and subordinate Project Offices, operating budget.
Serves as focal point of contact on inspections and reviews of administrative improvement and control programs for the Resident Office.
Utilizing automation equipment and software (word processing, spreadsheet, database, etc.) independently produces a wide variety of narrative and tabular material, e.g., correspondence and various forms and documents.
Analyzes office workflow, space layout and job processes, and develops procedures to accomplish office mission.
Establishes and modifies the administrative support services of new Project Offices.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes general office duties such as handling of mail, telephone calls, and visitors, reviewing outgoing correspondence, providing or following up on requests for information, using operating systems, such as CEFMS (Corps of Engineers Financial Management System) and RMS (Resident Management System) programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

OR

You have successfully completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.education must show successfull completion of at least one-half year of graduate education directly related to the position, including graduate courses leading towards a Masters in Business Administration, Public Administration, or in a related Administrative Science or Administrative Studies field.

OR

You have the specialized experience as described in A, but less than one year; and I have some graduate level education as described in B, but less than the required half year. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education by 9. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
