Reporting to the Associate Dean of Instruction, this position facilitates all aspects of student learning and the educational growth within the Transitional Mathematics program; exemplify a commitment to excellence in the ongoing preparation and delivery of instruction with a focus on student achievement, advisement and retention and a commitment to personal professional growth.

This is a 12-month instructional position. Salary placement will be according to the published faculty salary schedule at the 12-month rate.

identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing pertinent information and commentary; providing leadership within the area hired including mentorship of associate faculty; recommending courses of action; implementing directives and advising students as assigned.


providing leadership to the TRM success team, comprised of tutors, coordinators, and student services staff; ensuring students are aware of courses, programs and resources available to assist them in completion of the transitional mathematics program and assist student in enrolling in courses that will most effectively accomplish student goals; scheduling and assigning instructional activities; following up on results; and providing a safe learning environment.


by providing expert and consistent instruction via approved TRM course models, using multimedia presentations, verbal concepts, examples, demonstrations and other teaching aids demonstrating competence with audiovisual equipment and computers.


providing instructional feedback; planning, monitoring and appraising learning results; coaching and advising students; and maintaining posted office hours and working evenings and weekends as required to meet student and/or college needs. Instruction may occur in multiple modalities: on ground, hybrid and online.


preparing, assigning, administering and scoring assessments; reviewing and correcting assignments; eliciting student questions and responses; evaluating application of learning to classroom project results; and participating in the assessment of student learning studies within the college through which the faculty gathers data about how well a course, program and/or the institution has done at achieving student learning outcomes.


following curriculum guidelines and representing the college at Articulation Task Force meetings with active participation, as assigned.


documenting learning accomplishments within the learning management system and administrative software and fulfilling reporting obligations, including participation assignment grades, student counts, and final grade submissions.


chairing and/or actively participating on assigned subcommittees, complying with reporting deadlines, implementing approved strategies.


attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.


accomplishing related results as needed.

Education as required per the adopted Mohave Community College faculty qualification requirements.

Responsibilities Under general supervision the Broadband Field Service Technician installs, changes, repairs and disconnects cable services including video, data, and telephone. Performs troubleshooting at time of installation and on scheduled service calls from the tap to the customer's electronic devices. Educates customers regarding new and existing services and describes the advantage of and sells other services to meet customer needs. * Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values. Installs, tests and troubleshoots Company services including video, data and telephone from tap to customer electronic devices. Utilizes network tools and troubleshooting knowledge to resolve network problems. * Resolves issues at installation and on scheduled service call from customer's electronic devices to tap. Educates customers regarding use of installed products; explains waivers, agreements, customer release forms, charges and billing procedures. * Determines customer's current service levels; inquiries about customer preferences and needs; recommends service upgrades or additional products. Resolves or escalates customer complaints, as appropriate. Uses automated routing system or plans daily route; requisitions equipment and supplies; stocks Company vehicle. Meets scheduled appointment windows. Completes work orders and other documentation on paper and/or by mobile device. Represents Company to collect payments and equipment; secures appropriate customer signatures. * Maintains network integrity through preventive maintenance and home certifications. * Adheres to established maintenance windows for all outages. * Uses small hand tools, power tools, meters, and other test equipment. * Maintains and secures Company truck and equipment. * Works on regularly scheduled days as well as unscheduled days and beyond regular work hours as required. * When applicable rearranging and reconnecting fiber optic service drops at pole, underground or building terminals. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent * Ability to communicate in person and by telephone * Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus; ability to differentiate between different sizes and colors of wires * Hand and finger dexterity to carry and to use tools and equipment as necessary * Ability to work while standing 50 - 70% of the time * Ability to use any equipment in a safe manner, in accordance with company, industry and regulatory standards * Ability to safely lift 75 pounds * Ability to carry, climb and operate extension ladder, (approx. 28 ft high and 75 pounds).
