Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Creative Writing, Journalism, Communications, or related field.
Background in performing or creative arts, exercise science, life-long learning, events management/planning, organizational leadership, or education preferred.
Two (2) years of experience in writing and editing preferred.
Strong project management and organizational, skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Graphic design skills desired.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft desktop applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Teams, SharePoint etc.
Ability to provide support using technology.
Experience with e-learning methods and delivery formats preferred.
Responsibilities
The Resident Engagement Specialist serves as a key operational resource to write, prepare, edit, translate to the field and disseminate curriculum content for arts, vocational, social, physical, emotional, life-long learning, and spiritual engagement programs in communities. Primary responsibilities include editing, ensuring consistency, clarity, and accuracy, and error free program content as well as dissemination and communication of content on Company platforms and systems. This individual reviews and revises resident well-being curriculum content, copy, and communications and ensure curriculum messaging to communities is consistent, clear, reflective of the Company's brand standards, and meets project objectives and deliverables.
Serve as a writer and editor for Resident Engagement Curriculum content, and resource guides ensuring all curriculum communications are aligned with the overall resident well-being mission, vision, style guidelines and strategy up to company standards.
Fact check accuracy of evidence-based references or statements used to support Engaged Life curriculum purpose, ensuring consistency and accuracy of Engaged Life Curriculum content.
Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Social, and Training teams to ensure error-free, compelling, and accurate content that adheres to adult learning principles.
Assist in developing internal and external resident well-being communications.
Assist in monitoring survey results from communities and administering trainings when needed.
Assist in rebranding and updating existing programming materials and developing new brand specific content and calendars.
Assist in organizing thematic curriculum materials throughout the year.
Assist in utilizing Company event management systems.
Collaborate with outside partners and Purchasing Department to ensure calendar curriculum is in alignment with needed materials for programming.
Review invoices for accuracy for outside partnerships and provides reports on processed invoices to accounting.
Provide supervisor with bi-weekly status report of all current projects and responsibilities.
Implement organizational strategies for communicating how to use curriculum, i.e. Creating Resource Documents and thematic programming cover pages.
Assist in outside training initiatives for the field.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Salary Range
The wage range for this position is $16.00/hr - $18.40/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
