BASIC REQUIREMENT(S):
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
The Resident Director, Williams Hall is to serve as a mentor for residents within Williams Hall as well as oversee the upkeep of their assigned residence hall.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Resident Director should be a Christian and have a desire to mentor college students. A bachelor's degree is preferred, but in-progress will be accepted.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervision and Discipleship of Resident Assistants (RAs)
Administrative Office Duties
Upkeep of Residence Hall facility
Student Discipline, Retention, Safety and Counseling
Develop/Evaluate Residence Life Programming
DUTIES:
Supervision and Discipleship of Resident Assistants
Weekly one-on-one meetings with RAs
Conduct weekly operation meetings with RAs and attend weekly Resident Directors and Housing meetings
Recruit, interview, and recommend prospective RAs
Facilitate and coordinate monthly RA meetings/training
Administrative Office Duties
Manage room assignments, process room requests and maintain
housing charts
Utilize StarRez to maintain student housing records
Supervise and manage resident check-in and out system
Maintain Residence Hall key system
Attend weekly staff meetings and student retention meetings
Serve on committees as assigned
Serve when needed as host with visiting groups and Patriot Preview and Family Weekends
Provide tours of facilities to prospective students and/or their parents
Assist and/or attend campus functions as assigned
Assist and/or attend New Patriot Orientations
Help maintain the Summer camp programming schedule
Other duties as assigned
Upkeep of Residence Hall facility
Coordinate and maintain proper room inventories
Maintain appearance of Residence Halls
Communicate Residence Hall maintenance requests to Physical
Operations
Student Discipline, Retention, Safety and Counseling
Crisis stabilization, emergency response, and counseling referral
Enforce policies specified in the Student Handbook
Document and maintain records of discipline policy violations
Work with the International Office to verify international students'
understanding of university policies and procedures as outlined in the Student Handbook
Develop/Evaluate University Housing Residence Life Programming
Coordinate and encourage RA's outreach in residence halls
Orientation of students concerning policies, procedures, collegiate living
Assist in establishing, evaluating, and revising University Housing policies and procedures to reflect changing needs or conditions
Develop University Housing Residence Life Calendar
Coordinate all-residence hall meetings
WORK SCHEDULE:
The Resident Director is required to work in the University Housing office during regular business hours as well as be on primary duty one night each week and one weekend each month.
