Millcroft Living is looking for a part time Resident Assistant to join our team. The Resident Assistant is responsible for providing personal care and non‑personal care assistance to residents when there is a need. PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Essential Job Duties:

1.Takes vital signs as indicated.

2.Changes beds, gives showers or baths and assists with dressing.

3.Assists with escorts to the dining room, beauty shop, physical therapy, activities, etc.

4.Makes daily rounds to ill residents.

5.Keeps Supervisor informed of residents' status.

6.Responds to all "Call for Aide" made to the Health Center.

Other Duties:

1.Assists in monitoring medication compliance.

2.Assists the resident with tray service.

3.Assists with ongoing assessment of residents' needs to promote independence.

4.Maintains accurate records of observations and services rendered to residents.

5.Assists the resident in making doctor's appointments.

6.Attends weekly update meeting and Health Committee meetings.

7.Assists in counseling residents and/or families.

8.Attends in-service training and education session, as assigned.

9.Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively with residents, family and staff, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.

2.LLAM Certified

3.Must be certified to pass medication

4.Must be able to transfer residents weighing 50 pounds or more using a transfer belt, mechanical lift or with the assistance of others.
