Residency Coordinator

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The entity Residency Coordinator reports to the Director Clinical Practice and is responsible for fostering the enculturation of the nurse resident through delivery of onboarding programs and by promoting the resident-preceptor-manager triad. Directs, coordinates, and delivers the educational components of the various nurse on-boarding programs.

Partners with preceptors, unit-based educators, and unit leaders to identify opportunities for development and foster open communication to foster growth. Fosters relationships with resident TAM recruiters and local academic partners to strengthen academic-entity relationships.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor's of Science of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two (2) years of nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting.

Greater than one year in delivering training to clinical staff/students.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

Current license in the state of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

National certification in field of specialty preferred.

Master's degree preferred.
