Join the Residence Life support crew. We are seeking employees who enjoy task-oriented work in a fun team environment. Shifts are available Monday-Friday from 8a-5p.
To be eligible for this temporary summer position:
Must be a minimum of 16 years old
Pass a background check
To be eligible for this position, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Applicants who now or may in the future require visa sponsorship to work in the United States are not eligible.
Ability to work without on-site supervision, prioritize, initiate required work tasks, and
work in a team environment
Ability to communicate clearly with co-workers and residents of campus facilities
Ability to lift 75 pounds
Minimum Qualifications:
Typical Experience:
Prior experience working in a team environment
Preferred Experience:
Prior experience operating tools, power tools, and other mechanical devices
Knowledge of safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals
Some mechanical or technical ability/knowledge
Required Education or Training:
All trainings will be provided once hired for the position. Trainings must successfully be
completed in order to work.
Safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals
Power tool safety
Lifting safety
Additional Education and/or Trainings dependent on duties:
Paint crew:
Successful completion of paint safety course. Course fees paid for by UAF.
Position Details:
This is a full-time, temporary position with a starting salary of $15.26/hr
