Position Title Residence Life Coordinator Job Description
The Residence Life Coordinator is directly responsible for the total administration of their assigned community, including facility management, community development, staff supervision, residential policy enforcement, safety and security, and all administrative duties related to their assigned facility. The Residence Life Coordinator serves in an on-call rotation for all housing facilities. During this on-call week, the Residence Life Coordinator must be available to respond to emergency situations in housing.
This position is assigned to either the Tower & Village facilities or the Suites II facility. The Tower is a traditional, all-male, residence hall with five floors. The Villages consist of 6 apartments buildings with 8 individual units in each apartment, which make up both male and female students. Suites II is a suite-style community and is primarily a female facility. All communities consist of a mix of student athletes and non-athletes. Suites II also houses three living learning communities: Our PrideQ, TRIO 1st year, & TRIO 2nd year students. The Residence Life Coordinator is responsible for approximately 450 residents and 12-15 para-professional RAs and Desk Workers.

Associates degree
Experience that demonstrates sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and ability backgrounds of community college students
Experience that illustrates a history of successfully collaborating with co-workers on a regular basis to achieve common goals
Experience that demonstrates student-centered decision making
Experience that demonstrates strong conflict resolution
Ability to pass a background check, have a valid U.S. driver's license and good driving record
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Two years of housing experience in higher education
Experience as a professional staff member or student staff member in a Residence Life department
Experience that demonstrates the ability to respond appropriately and effectively to crisis situations
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
The employee frequently is required to sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, telephone and basic office equipment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
Ability to drive company owned or personal vehicle.
