Rate of pay: $15.00. Final compensation is based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
Manage year-round activities calendar confirming booking and reservations including active participation in all activities. Follow pre-planned schedules and arrive on time to set activities.
Organize and lead all on-site activities (book readings, crafts, game nights, exercise classes, cultural enrichment) ensuring a safe and fun environment for all participants while encouraging resident and visitor participation.
Organize and manage all off-site excursions (e.g., medical appointments, museum exhibits, book readings) ensuring a safe and fun environment for all participants encouraging resident and visitor participation.
Meet and maintain YMCA standards.
Attend and complete all staff paperwork and trainings.
Guard resident's safety and welfare at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Certificate
3 years' work experience
CPR & First Aid certified within 2 months of hire.
Flexible schedule around the holidays, as seasonal entertainment can significantly uplift the spirits of our residents.
Experience in recreation as well as an energetic, positive attitude.
Established community contacts and network for resources for activities.
Preferred Qualifications
Multi-lingual skills
Prior experience working in a residence setting.
