Job Overview:

This individual is responsible for answering incoming calls to the resort and must have good typing skills, a pleasant attitude and excellent phone demeanor. The PBX Telephone Operator must work well handling a high volume of calls. The PBX Telephone Operator should be comfortable and able to answer questions relating to the hotel. Will also assist with room reservations as needed.

Wage Information:
The salary range for this position is $20.29 to $26.00. The starting hourly rate is $20.29. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.

Process all guest requests and relay messages. Gather, summarize, and utilize information about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities
Create new reservations either in person, via email or by telephone
Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet their requests, hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs
Research and resolve disputed charges for guests
Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
Collect and post payments to group accounts or guest rooms
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications - Internal
A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Proficient in basic computer skills including Windows applications
Customer service experience required
Friendly and outgoing with a good attitude and professionalism
Operate telephone switchboard station and fax machine.
Answer multi-line phones in a courteous, professional manner
Ability to multi-task, make solid business decisions with minimal supervision and work well under pressure
