Genocea's foundational technology, the ATLAS platform, is a high-throughput autologous cell assay that discovers T cell antigens thought to be important in fighting a patient's disease. ATLAS results are used to select validated neoantigens for a patient-specific vaccine and cell-based immunotherapies. We have recently initiated a personalized neoantigen-based cell therapy, GEN-011, which is in Phase 1/2a clinical trial. We are seeking an innovative Sr Research Associate/Research Associate to join the Translational Medicine team. This individual will play a critical strategic role in design and execution of complex immune-monitoring experiments with human clinical samples using established and novel procedures. The successful candidate will be a member of a team that evaluates the immunogenicity and efficacy of personalized oncology immunotherapies in clinical trials. The Clinical Assay Research Associate will be expected to design and execute complex immune monitoring experiments with human clinical samples utilizing established and novel procedures. The candidate will have demonstrated hands-on experience with assays such as immunophenotyping, Fluorospot/ELIPSOT, and other primary cell-based immunological assays. They will have experience with assay development, troubleshooting, validation and clinical testing. Demonstrated effectiveness as a member of a team is critical, and aptitude with clinical protocols and reports for senior management is expected. The candidate will be expected to be in the laboratory to perform experiments and clinical testing with other team members, have a strong, positive work ethic and be highly collaborative with other group members, and must have a strong background in immunology and/or cell biology. Knowledge of immuno-oncology and experience with assay automation are highly desirable, but not required.

VIEW JOBS 2/26/2021 12:00:00 AM 2021-05-27T00:00 Why Join Intellia? Our mission is to develop curative genome editing treatments that can positively transform the lives of people living with severe and life-threatening diseases. Beyond our science, we live our four core values: One, Explore, Disrupt, Deliver and feel strongly that you can achieve more at Intellia. We have a single-minded determination to excel and succeed together. We believe in the power of curiosity and pushing boundaries. We welcome challenging thoughts and imagination to develop innovative solutions. And we know that patients are counting on us to make the promise a reality, so we must maintain high standards and get it done. We want all of our people to go beyond what is possible. We aren't constrained by typical end rails, and we aren't out to just "treat" people. We're all in this for something more. We're driven to cure and motivated for change. Just imagine the possibilities of what we can do together. How you will Achieve More with Intellia: We are excited to welcome this new member to our growing Early Development & Translational Medicine team. This is a lab-based role. If you are a strong molecular biologist with some experience in PCR-based methodologies to investigate, monitor, and quantify sgRNA, Cas9 mRNA, AAV vector genes or other oligonucleotides, this is the role for you! As the SRA Bioanalytics, you will work on various projects including: * Execute various in-house bioanalytical PCR-based assays such as qPCR, qRT-PCR, ddPCR, and b-DNA for quantification of DNA and RNA (as part of therapeutics such as LNPs and gene therapies) * Help analyze data for PK, PD, and distribution studies and contribute to data driven decisions and strategies to understand drug efficacy, safety, and mechanism of action. * Compile assay qualifications, author bioanalytical reports, and communicate timelines and results to internal teams. * Conduct assay failure investigations for both internal and CRO sample analysis functions. * Contribute to regulatory documents (such as CTA and IND) to advance drug development. Meet your future team: The eDEV & TM team is a self-motivated and lively group, with an innate curiosity to explore and develop. You will report to the Associate Director, Pre-Clinical Development. This team leads various important elements of the pre-clinical translational bioanalysis including data analysis, review, and communication of findings with internal and external partners. While a lean team of 5, you will work closely with the larger Pre-clinical Department, made up for 16 individuals (and growing!). The team is currently working with limited capacity in the labs. In this hybrid virtual environment, the team has made it a priority to continue to develop new bioanalytical assays for selection and optimization of oligonucleotide primers, probes, and quenchers for broad physicochemical and biological properties of RNA and DNA molecules. You will get to put your hands on liquid handlers such as Octet (or Biacore), HPLCs, Microscopy, Li-COR Odyssey, MSD, capillary gel electrophoresis, cell-based analysis, and Hamilton automated systems. You can expect to join a hardworking, collaborative environment. The team has contributed a lot towards moving our first indication to clinical and works central to our R&D organization. #LI-DG1 EEOC Statement: Intellia believes in a diverse environment, and is committed to equal employment opportunity for all its employees and qualified applicants.
