This position is located at the Maricopa Agricultural Center, 37860 W. Smith-Enke Rd., Maricopa, AZ, which is approximately 90 miles from Tucson.

The Research/Laboratory Assistant position will work under minimal supervision to assist researchers in performing a variety of duties that include sampling and identification of cotton insects. Incumbents draw largely upon their practical knowledge and experience. This position requires a valid driver's license upon the first day of employment.

This position will be seasonal and is non-benefits eligible. Our department's goal is to develop and deliver the best integrated agricultural technologies for problems faced by Arizona consumers and producers. Research focuses on cotton, small grains, alfalfa, and new specialty crops that could be used to provide fibers, oils and pharmaceuticals.

The Center also supports extension outreach programs, such as Ag-Ventures, various University classes, and Ag-Literacy for all age groups.
