Perform cell isolation and culture, preparation of media and tissue culture reagents, and maintenance and special manipulations of cell lines (e.g. transfection).Prepare and run biological and biochemical assays such as cytotoxicity assays, ELISA, PCR, and flow cytometry.Work with chemical analysis of novel small molecules and inorganic nanoparticles.Maintain the mouse colony, which includes rodent work, and related experimentation (dissections, injections of biological compounds, minor and major surgeries).Contribute to data analysis and manuscript preparation.Train students and new staff in lab techniques and procedures.Perform general lab maintenance, record-keeping, ordering, and inventory of laboratory supplies.Additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of the principles and techniques of the subject discipline; including, mouse and animal care, cancer cell biology and basic Research Laboratory skills.Knowledge of modern research methods, data collection and analyses.Ability to effectively communicate.
