Overview
The Lord Laboratory is currently seeking a highly motivated and creative individual for the position of Research Technician I. The Research Technician is needed for non-clinical laboratory experiments involving acquisition and processing of human blood and tissue specimens, flow cytometry, cell culture, gene expression analysis, cytokine quantification and immunohistochemistry.
Responsibilities
Isolating and performing cell culture experiments with human blood and tissue cells
Freezing, thawing, and culturing human cells and cell lines
Staining, analyzing, and sorting cells by flow cytometry
Isolating, amplifying, and analyzing DNA and RNA from human cells
Obtaining tissue specimens from an affiliated hospital
Organizing and maintaining inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies
Qualifications
BA/BS degree with experience in basic immunology, molecular cellular biology, and/or histopathology.
Prior work in a laboratory environment preferred
Experience with Flow Cytometry strongly preferred
Must have basic mathematical, data recording, computer database, data and statistical analysis skills
Compensation
$22.46 to $31.89 per hr.
