You will be a member of the PM Research and Development Group supporting R&D and various polyurethane development groups. You will work with other team members to ensure all projects move forward according to the scheduled activities. You will be responsible for blending various chemical into formulation for machine and outside customer trials.
As a Research Technician I, You Create Chemistry By...
Supporting the development of new PU products through your background and expertise.
Becoming an expert at highly advances blending and processing equipment
Building and maintaining relationships with internal business partners and cross-functional departments (internal and external customers)
Maintaining a zero-incident mindset in all aspects of the job.
Supporting the team by independently performing assigned tasks.
Running and maintaining equipment and processes with some modification based on given parameters
Having knowledge of basic determination of testing requirements
Having the ability to understand instructions by supervisors and internal partners.
Understanding basic chemistry and being proficient in blending techniques.
Having a level of understanding of basic chemical processing techniques and machinery
If you have...
Minimum High School Diploma or GED. College Education related to mechanical or chemical background is preferred.
1 to 3 years of experience in a pilot or prototype laboratory setting or manufacturing operations
1 to 3 years mechanical troubleshooting experience
Minimum 1 year of experience with standard computer programs (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel)
1 to 3 years of experience as a Machine operator.
1 to 3 years of experience troubleshooting machines used to prepare polyurethane materials would be preferred.
Polyurethane industry experience would be preferred
