Job summary: The Research Technician position will process and characterize OLED devices and their material components. Duties of this position include designing and carrying out processing experiments, recording methods used and keen observations, and communicating results. This role will involve strong collaboration with research engineers and device scientists and work closely in a lab environment with other team members.Responsibilities:
Process samples and carry out experiments in collaboration with team members.
Operate various processing tools, including spin coater, glove boxes, fume hoods, deposition tools, etc.
Characterize samples using AFM, optical microscope, UV-Vis, ellipsometer, etc.
Assist with special projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma at minimum; AA degree preferred.
Preferred 3+ years of industrial experience in a research and development environment.
Preferred working experience in a class 1000 or better cleanroom, with knowledge of various fabrication and characterization tools, such as spin coating, Langmuir-Blodgett deposition, thermal evaporation, plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition, atomic force microscopy, ellipsometry, scanning electron microscope, etc.
Experienced in basic computer software and internet application.
Ability to perform and succeed in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience reading and interpreting general technical information.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management.
Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in an efficient, proactive manner.
Demonstrated track record of accuracy, thoroughness, and perseverance.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Desire to be a part of cutting-edge technology development and application in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Knowledge of organic electronics and prior work with nanoparticles is a plus.
