Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):

Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in hand by May 2024. Research experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in a field relevant to human subjects research, e.g. Psychology. Experience in human subjects research.

Experience working with psychiatric patients in research or clinical context. Experience with current psychological assessments. Experience recruiting participants into studies.

Brief Description of Duties

The Research Support Specialist (RSS) will coordinate studies of psychiatric disorders. The incumbent will work with people with mental disorders, using cutting-edge research methods.

The incumbent will coordinate efforts of a team of specialists. Also, the RSS will maintain the integrity of collected data in electronic databases. The successful incumbent must have excellent interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills.

Duties:

  • Complete assessment of participants.

  • Coordinate participant appointments.

  • Recruit, screen and schedule research participants.

  • Maintain collected data in an electronic database.

  • Maintain study protocol documents and IRB compliance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Special Notes:

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.

Evening and weekend work may be required at times.
