Research / Sr. Research Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology
We are seeking a highly motivated Research/Sr. Research Scientist to join our In Vivo Pharmacology group at Incyte. The selected candidate will be responsible for elucidating the mechanism of action of novel therapeutic agents using in vivo and ex vivo systems. The successful candidate should bring expertise in flow cytometry and in vivo mouse models. The individual should have a demonstrated ability to work independently to design experiments, interpret data, troubleshoot, and suggest next steps.
Possess sufficient knowledge of techniques commonly used to assess anti-tumor responses.
Utilize in vivo models to evaluate the effectiveness of designated novel agents on anti-tumor responses. This includes establishment of syngeneic, xenograft and humanized models for efficacy and pharmacodynamics, drug formulation and administration, and ex vivo assessments of drug activity.
Collaborate with other members of the In Vivo Pharmacology group.
Process data and present them to other members of the research team.
BS/MS in Biology or relevant discipline, or equivalent education and experience
5+ years Pharma/Biotech experience preferable
Strong proficiency in multi-color flow cytometry (>10 color) and data analysis
Significant hands-on experience handling of mice
Proficiency in dosing of mice (i.v., i.p, s.c. and oral)
Experience with immune assays (ELISA, ELISPOT) preferable
General knowledge of cancer biology and mouse models of cancer a plus
