The School of Education and Human Development is seeking a Research Specialist to supportthe curriculum of Special Education.

Position Duties include but not limited to:

  • The Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education in the School of Education and Human Development seeks applicants for multiple Research Specialist (Wage) positions.

  • The Research Specialist (Wage) assists with either on or off-site activities of various research areas. Incumbents assist with videotaping observations, video clipping and uploading, collecting, analyzing and upload data using project guidelines, writing manuscripts or presentations, develop lesson plans and posting content online.

  • Availability to work either on grounds or remotely preferred. Ability to use and troubleshoot with technology, including laptops and tablets, is preferred, as is knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

A bachelors degree or equivalent is required, completed coursework at graduate level is preferred. At least one year of experience performing direct work in a K-12 or post-secondary educational setting or an out-of-school setting such as a summer camp or an after-school program is preferred.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Strong organization skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse population are essential.

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field.

Experience: None.

Licensure: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require walking some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
