Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Specialist for Summer Session. Reporting to the Assistant Director of the New Brunswick Office of Summer and Winter Sessions, this position provides on-going weekly data compilation, analysis and strategic assessment related to course offerings, student enrollment, tuition data, marketing, customer relations and strategic planning.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Provides year-end data and Annual Reports.

  • Works in concert with Division of Continuing Studies Information Technology staff (ITaCS) and Data Insights Group (DIG).

  • Responsible for course management, instructor appointment, and payroll processes.

  • Serves as liaison with other units at the University, such as OIT, Institutional Research, Scheduling, and Registrar, in gathering data, assessing processes to serve Summer and Winter Sessions' mission.

  • Takes leadership role in gathering, analyzing, facilitating electronic application processes/workspaces, and reporting data for Summer and Winter Sessions to guide the strategic planning process.

Job Summary Advances the Children's Specialized Hospital Research Center through versatile support and implementation of the Center's strategic plan and initiatives. Essential Job Functions * Identifies recruitment opportunities for clinical trials in pediatric rehabilitation research areas * Conducts literature reviews in research priority areas * Provides logistical support and coordination for CSH Research Center events * Reviews CSH data collection practices and identifies opportunities for improvement and|or training using technology solutions * Performs other duties as identified by supervisor and|or CRO in support of the Research Center * Secures speakers and leads planning and coordination for CSH Research Center events (i.e. Distinguished Lecture Series) * Consults with clinical teams to design studies that align program priorities with research initiatives Requirements Formal Education and Job-Related Experience * Master�s degree in research related field, minimum 2 years professional experience in research related field Certification * n|a License * n|a Education and Experience - Additional Comments * Ability to work within a team environment as well as conduct work independently, can perform tasks and duties within specified time frame, experience in data collection and management, understanding of and ability to perform basic statistics, experience with Microsoft Office products and statistical software packages, ability to conduct comprehensive research and synthesize information, strong organization skills, excellent written|verbal communication and willingness to learn. Experience writing scientific manuscripts that have been published in peer-reviewed journals, demonstrated success in receiving grant awards preferred.
