Research Specialist (Mulkeytown, IL)

Typical Duties of the Research Specialist include:

• Collaborate with internal and external Research and Operations staff to execute a research plan on time, of high quality, and within budget.

• Assist in the collection of data as designated in study protocols.

• Assist in daily site logistics for all pig and feed movements.

• Perform routine maintenance and validation of research equipment.

• Work with Production Operations staff to assist with the execution of all daily activities at the facilities.

• Utilize internal Performance Management tools to set goals, hold accountability and coach behaviors.

• Execute Quality Management System procedures pertaining to research conduct

• Ensure all practices are consistent with commonly accepted animal well-being standards, safe-guard the environment and ensure regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of Associates' Degree in Animal Science, or a related field required. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience: No previous experience in modern swine production or research required, but an internship of 6 months - 1 year in swine production or research is preferred.
