Research Scientist Responsibilities

• Help build machine learning systems behind Meta's products, create web applications that reach millions of people, build high-volume servers, and be a part of a team working to help connect people around the globe.

Develop highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, regression, and rules-based models.

Suggest, collect and synthesize requirements and create an effective feature roadmap.

Code deliverables in tandem with the engineering team.

Adapt standard machine learning methods to best exploit modern parallel environments (e.g. distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU).

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Completion of a university-level course, research project, thesis, or internship in each of the following:

1.Algorithms, data structures, or systems software

2.Gathering, manipulating, or analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources

3.Communicating complex research in a clear, precise, and actionable manner

4.Performing research that enables learning the semantics of data (images, video, text, audio, or other modalities) and advances the technology of intelligent machines

5.Devising better data-driven models of human behavior

6.Developing highly scalable classifiers and tools leveraging machine learning, statistics, regression, rules-based models, or mathematical models and

7.Java, C++, Perl, PHP, or Python.

$187,940/year to $200,200/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
