As a Research Scientist Supervisor I you will have the opportunity to:

• Plan, organize and direct a team of scientists to carry out laboratory activities such as analytical testing, maintenance of equipment, inventory of supplies, method development and other research projects in support of DTSC core programs and external stakeholders

• Manage laboratory infrastructure including budgets, procurement of goods and services, facilities modifications, and technology innovations to ensure laboratory meets the quality, productivity and efficiency needed to meet current and future needs of the Department and its stakeholders

• Provide technical support to DTSC programs and external stakeholders on analytical data and environmental chemistry

• Manage ECL ISO/IEC 17025 Quality Management System

Desirable Qualifications We Look For:

• Possession of Master's or Doctorate degree in Chemistry or closely related field

• At least three years of experience with mass spectrometry and other analytical chemistry techniques and instrumentation

• At least three years of experience working in a laboratory with a Quality Management System

• At least three years of experience with project management

• At least two years of experience managing and overseeing the work of lower level staff
