Our business model provides clients with organic chemistry services in early-stage research, scale-up & development, and specialty manufacturing.From chemists to business and sales professionals, when you work for Adesis, you are joining a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) making a difference in the lives of people around the world.Job SummaryResponsible for route scouting, process development and manufacture of intermediates and target compounds up to 100 L reactor scale. Lead a team of chemists’ or lab technicians on scale-up projects.Key Responsibilities
  • Design reaction schemes to prepare assigned targets with no supervision.
  • Run reactions and optimize synthetic steps to improve reaction yield and isolation methods.
  • Purify crude products by precipitation, crystallization or distillation methods. 
  • Establish in-process controls to result robust chemical processes.
  • Apply DoE and QbD methods for process optimization.
  • Apply PAT tools to design, analyze and control manufacturing processes.
  • Scale-up intermediates and API’s up to 100 L reactor scale
  • Identify critical process parameters which effect critical quality attributes.
  • Maintain chemistry synthesis notebook(s) and batch records as applicable.
  • Provide oral and written updates to as requested.
  • Provides written weekly updates and final synthesis reports to supervisor(s)
  • Characterize compounds with little to no supervision.
  • Lead a team of chemists on various process development and scale-up projects.
  • Attend all relevant safety training and follow SOPs.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Chemistry
  • 0-3 years of industry experience in chemical process development and manufacturing.
  • Experience in working with Jacketed reactors up to 100 L scale.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience in handling scale up equipment in kilo-lab setting.
