This scientist position will support efforts leading to the development of novel technologies, processes and reagents for cell therapy manufacturing. This hands-on position will provide cell culture and analysis expertise supporting technology and product development. The position involves working with a broad group of technical and non-technical personnel including scientists, engineers and business partners. The successful candidate will play an important role as an integral part of a dynamic and highly matrixed team in MilliporeSigma's Cell Therapy Bioprocessing group.
Who You Are:
Experience in cell culture media development and product development is preferred.
Solid experience and theoretical knowledge of analysis techniques: examples include microscopy, flow cytometry analysis, immunoassays, qPCR, ELISA.
Has experience with cell culture in bioreactor format.
Has experience with designing, executing and troubleshooting new protocols and assays.
Is expected to work safely and efficiently in the lab, plan schedules and arrange own activities to accomplish objectives with short deadlines.
Has the ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed team environment.
Background in cell culture techniques and demonstrated experience and knowledge of a variety of cell types, including stem cells and T cells.
