Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Regulatory Assistant.

An integral member of the research team and in compliance with all regulatory institutional and departmental requirements, the incumbent will be responsible for programmatic maintenance support of clinical trials. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs Unit, your specific responsibilities will include assistance with clinical trial regulatory responsibilities. You will serve as a liaison between the IRB and internal departments/staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), clinical research activities and guidelines related to consent, ethical conduct and protection of human subjects.

  • Assist Regulatory Specialists in obtaining continuing approvals from various committees and organizations (In-house: Scientific Committee, Institutional Review Board, Biosafety Committee, Radiation Committee.

  • Assist research teams in preparing for DMG meetings.

  • Assist Research Nurses with administrative tasks as needed.

  • Assist Regulatory Specialists with sponsor and/ or CROs during monitoring visits.

  • Assist Senior Regulatory Specialists and Regulatory Specialists with their day-to-day activities, including but not limited to: obtaining signatures on regulatory documents, filing study documents, processing personnel changes, revising regulatory documents and maintaining study binders/electronic folders.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience

A minimum of 1 year or comparable experience in hospital planning and operations; and a working knowledge of government codes/regulations is required

Knowledge of oncology clinical trials and oncology terminology preferred

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

VIEW JOBS 2/5/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-05T00:00 Description: The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeing two candidates that will assist in the day-to-day operations of studies in the Substance Use Research Center at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The start date for this position will be June 2020, and we are looking for candidates who can ideally commit two years to our team. Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day lab procedures and ensuring the smooth operation of the Cannabis Research Laboratory. Responsibilities include telephone screening for inpatient and outpatient laboratory research studies, carrying out study procedures, collecting data, and submitting and maintaining IRB protocols. The candidate will also be responsible for scheduling physical and psychological interviews, scheduling hourly staff, managing and training volunteers, and conducting laboratory physiological measures (blood pressure, electrocardiograms, blood draws, urine sample collection and drug testing). Duties also include maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of research sessions, data entry and organization, managing petty cash payments, and ordering laboratory supplies. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a social or biological science. Organizational skills, attention to detail, good judgment and the ability to work without continuous supervision are critical components of this position. Need to be willing to work flexible shifts, including evenings/weekends. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are essential. Must agree to be certified in phlebotomy. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in behavioral science laboratory and/or human participants research preferred.
