Job Summary
The laboratory of Dean Kip Guy is seeking a Research Project Manager.
The Research Project Manager in conjunction with the Principal Investigator (PI), will:
- plan and develop funding proposals
- oversee and lead clinical development projects from ideation through clinical trials
- work with PI and Co-Investigators (Co-Is) on research program planning, conduct, implementation, evaluation, policies and protocols
- develop operation manuals and work plans consistent with study objectives
Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
- manage the daily operations of clinical trials
- advise on program operations to resolve complex issues
- communicate with internal and external partners/stakeholders and work with them to assure work completion
- oversee production of all trial manuals and documentation
- oversee regulatory submissions
- create study tracking mechanisms to ensure the attainment of project goals and critical milestones
- communicate with study sites and partners on any issues in a timely fashion
- work with PI, Co-Is, and external partners/stakeholders to monitor all expenditures to cross-check against established grant budget
- manage Excel documents in a timely fashion to incorporate revisions and meet the requirements of internal and external budget protocols
- contribute to improvement of grants finance management procedures
- review monthly PI reports and communicate any issues or discrepancies to PI and OSPA
- communicate with OSPA and necessary departmental administrators with any questions, issues to changes in grant budget and personnel
- document study progress
- prepare and assist in the preparation of various progress reports and presentations to the various funding agencies, other key stakeholders, and other reporting as needed
- oversee IRB application and continuation review
- monitor compliance with grant standards for audits and evaluations
- evaluate submissions of data to sponsor for compliance
