Position Description
Advertised Job Summary
The Research Program Coordinator will contribute to the Literacy Development of Diverse Learners Lab by assisting with research by managing laboratory operations, including but not limited to database management, preparing reports for families and funding agencies, assisting with outreach and recruitment, coordinating with study collaborators, training and supervising graduate and undergraduate research assistants, and assisting with IRB compliance. The position may involve travel for participant assessments or conference attendance.
Required Education and Experience
Requires a bachelor's degree and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Spanish language proficiency, experience interpreting and interacting with Spanish-speaking parents of school-age children, and prior experience entering data in Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) are preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of educational research project management, particularly in collaborating with schools in research, and working with children in grades K - Grade 2.
Job Duties
Job Duty
Supervising and conducting data collection by administering assessments to children in schools, traveling to schools, and communicating with team members. They will train and mentor employees in best practice of assessment administration while working with children in schools.

Collaborating with the Primary Investigator to make progress on project goals as indicated by the grant and directed by the primary award site. Supporting the Primary Investigator with written and verbal communication as needed.
