Summary
Dr. Matthew O'Meara with the University of Michigan Department of Computational Medicine & Bioinformatics is seeking a Research Lab Tech Senior to provide technical lab support by performing complex laboratory and research related tasks.
Acts as specialist on laboratory methods and equipment functions. Performs a variety of tests requiring a high degree of proficiency. Troubleshoots problems and recommends solutions.
Evaluates experiment results using statistical and multivariate analysis. May instruct a laboratory academic section in laboratory techniques, instruments, methods, and procedures.

Responsibilities*
Computational modeling proteins for in silico biosensors. The resulting models will be the basis for generating small molecule bioactivity fingerprints for broad use in drug discovery.
The position will be doing fundamental research on the specificity and selectivity of proteins - ligand interactions.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in pharmaceutical chemistry, biophysics, or related field.
1-2 years experience
