Part Time Schedule: Thursday

  • 3pm

  • 11pm (this may change depends on the staffing; this role will be covering the other two Research Imaging Techs in Human Imaging Core)

Friday

  • 3pm

  • 11pm

Saturday

  • 8am

  • 5pm

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Research Imaging Technilogist performs CT, MRI U/S and Radiographic procedures on patients and research subjects.

Actively participates in the development of new imaging methods and techniques. Work closely with researchers in the development, optimization and testing of MRI scanning protocols. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in

handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment. The technologist will perform MRI exams on complex outpatients and inpatients per the radiologist protocol specifications.

The MRI Department runs 7 days a week. The department runs an interdisciplinary workflow that includes, Nursing, Radiologists, Anesthesia Attendings and Nurse practitioners.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 5+ years' experience performing radiographic procedures preferred. The candidate must have sufficient knowledge and expertise in MR imaging and patient care.

Additionally, ability to operate technology such as PACs and Cerner system. The technologist will be required to train new employees and students.

Education/Licensure/Certification: Satisfactory completion of approved radiology technology training/program.

Licensed Radiology Technologist. Formal or informal MRI, Ultrasound, or CT training preferably in a pediatric setting. ARRT or ARMRIT and BLS from the American Heart Association.

Pay Scale Information

USD $80,288.00 - USD $138,496.80

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
