A postdoctoral fellow position is available for a motivated data scientist to study investigate the multi-omic characteristics of breastmilk in relation to maternal and child health. This translational project will utilize on a systems biology approach, integrating human milk macronutrients, transcriptomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and microbiome measurements from six cohorts.
The candidate should have a recent MD, PhD or MD/PhD in the data or biological sciences, experience with data interpretation and scientific writing, experience in biostatistics and bioinformatics, and an understanding of advanced bioinformatic approaches pertinent to biological systems. We seek a candidate who seeks to work as an integral part of a team, who is inquisitive, dependable, and professional, and is seeking to grow and learn as part of a thriving, diverse, multi-disciplinary team with a mission to improve maternal and child health during the first 1,000 days. Fluency in data analytics and experience with large data sets required.
