Job Summary:
At Quantum Signal AI we work towards novel solutions to today's problems compelling us to understand and implement state-of-the-art techniques and relevant algorithms. As a research engineer intern at QSAI, you will tackle challenges by learning and applying innovative concepts across the automotive space.
What You'll Do:
Trial algorithmic improvements and measure comparative performance against evaluation datasets such as point cloud or image collections
Learn existing libraries and adapt techniques towards specific project ends with a focus on computer vision
Calibrate perception sensors to produce dense and useful inputs to applications
Investigate and review targeted innovation areas and compile reviews for future work
Prototype new approaches and assess their viability
What You'll Need:
College-level coursework in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Proficiency with high-level languages such as C++, Python, and Matlab
Drive to learn previously unknown concepts and technologies
Team-oriented disposition to collaborate on shared goals and ask for help willingly
Proficiency with mathematical concepts such as geometry or probability with the ability to seek out further depth as needed
Bonus Points For:
Familiarity with software development in areas like:
Source control tools (GitHub, Subversion, etc.)
Linux and command-line utilities
Knowledge of the state of automotive field in areas like autonomous driving
Experience with open-source libraries such as OpenCV or PCL
