Position Summary

The Research Engagement Coordinator works as part of the clinical research and clinical teams providing support, education, and advocacy for patients and families, researchers, and other professionals to support a program designed to increase enrollment on clinical trials within historically marginalized communities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical trials outreach and education for patients from historically marginalized communities

• Facilitate and support discussions and decisions around clinical trials screening, enrollment, and participation with patients, in partnership with physicians and research conduct staff

• Provide ongoing support to patients across clinical trials and serve as a liaison between clinical trials participants from historically marginalized communities and research conduct staff

• Advocate for patients through respectful and professional interactions with healthcare and research conduct staff

• Maintain complete and accurate event and program reporting documentation, methods of outcomes measurement, and program evaluation tools to inform current and future efforts

Requirements:

• Bachelors' degree required, preferably in science, health care or other related fields. Four (4) years of experience in research coordination may be substituted for educational requirements

• Two years of clinical research experience within a healthcare setting

• Prior experience as a research coordinator required, research certification strongly preferred

• Bilingual or proficient in two or more languages preferred.

• Proficiency and comfort with technology, including Microsoft Office Suite

• Professional and/or personal experience deeply rooted in partnering with historically marginalized communities preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $29.81 - $42.89 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
