WMOR (Tampa, Florida) and WMTW/WPXT (Portland-Auburn, ME) have an opening for an experienced Regional Research Director that will analyze and interpret ratings and research to design compelling stories for our sellers and outside promotion. This is a great opportunity to join one of the broadcast industry's most respected companies, Hearst Television. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Nielsen software, Marshall Marketing, Kantar and Wide Orbit Media Sales. The ability to translate digital research into meaningful stories to support cross platform sales projects is also key. This position is also actively engaged in providing relevant research and strategic guidance to the stations' news, programming and creative services departments. The ideal candidate will be analytical, creative and proactive and able to handle multiple projects. This position will be located in Tampa, but will require some travel to WMTW/WPXT in Portland, Maine as well.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The ability to create compelling stories that reinforce the marketing power of all the stations' media platforms including digital.

  • The Research Director plays an integral role in the advertising sales department and works closely with station management on projects and marketing initiatives

  • The candidate will be an active participant in sales, promotional and news activities, including but not limited to presentations to clients, station management, and at full station staff meetings.

  • This position requires the command of various software applications utilizing Nielsen research and other quantitative and qualitative data.

  • The Research Director is the stations' conduit for strategic information on the station's sales, news, web/mobile/digital platforms and programming performance.

Experience Requirements:

  • Prior advertising, marketing and/or broadcast experience preferred.

  • A background in consumer and/or media research.

  • Proficiency in Nielsen software (NLTV), Wide Orbit Media Sales, Marshall Marketing, Kantar, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Must possess analytical skills and creativity to effectively convey findings and publish results.

  • Must have command of related software applications

  • Able to present effectually to clients, station staff and others as deemed necessary.

Education:

  • A college degree combined with advertising, marketing or broadcast experience is preferred

  • Military training and experience will be considered

VIEW JOBS 3/22/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-06-20T00:00 This position, under the guidance of a Research Contract Analyst Lead, is responsible for preparation, negotiation, and execution of contractual agreements with trial sponsors on behalf of TGH while working with cross-functional departments to meet client deliverables. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of the Office of Clinical Research and Tampa General Hospital. * Reviews draft contract documents, including Start-up Agreements, Work Orders and Change Orders, etc. from sponsor/grantor provided templates per guidance provided by the Research Contract Analyst Lead and in conjunction with relevant departments. * Facilitates the negotiation of CDAs by reviewing sponsor CDAs and negotiate within CDA review guidelines, including coordination with TGH's legal and business department to ensure timely agreements. * Drafts and edits contractual agreements based upon existing standard templates and policies. * Communicates with legal counsel as needed. * Directs sponsor interaction with new and established contacts per guidance provided by the Research Contract Analyst Lead. * Review sponsor contractual templates and edit as appropriate to ensure TGH's positions are covered and to highlight areas of potential concern. * Ensures contractual documents are processed and maintained in relevant databases. * Prepares contract approval timelines with all parties involved and leads follow-up efforts, as directed, to obtain contract approval. * Negotiates and releases contract language in accordance with project requirements and TGH and industry standards. * Manages dissemination and filing of contractual agreements. * Coordinates efforts, as directed, among TGH clients, suppliers and outside counsel to facilitate timely execution of agreements. * Maintains up-to-date tracking of all contracts and client correspondence and provides periodic internal updates. * Prepares ad hoc management reports as required. * Bachelor's degree in a related field including paralegal / legal studies. * At least two (2) years' of relevant work experience. * Clinical trial contracting experience highly preferred. * Advanced legal training/coursework preferred. * Knowledge of contract management principles. * Excellent computer skills. * Excellent writing capabilities, including the ability to write reports and business correspondence. * Ability to read, analyze and interpret contractual documents and technical procedures. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Ability to work independently and work as part of a project team. * Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills. * Confident dealing with internal staff, and external stakeholders as required.
