Northrop Grumman Corporation is seeking a Research Development Manager to support the Office of the Deputy Undersecretary of the Army, Army Analytics Group's Research Facilitation Laboratory located in Monterey, CA.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for a portfolio of scientific research efforts, overseeing their execution as well as leading the technical direction on select scientific research projects.
The Research Development Manager will have personnel management responsibilities, supervising a matrixed team of data scientists, researchers, and software engineers.

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Masters Degree from an accredited college or university and at least 3 years of industry experience
Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong project management skills, to include day-to-day management of highly technical experts, milestones, and deliverables.
Must have a strong background in a research discipline.
Must have excellent communication skills with experience in conveying high-level scientific concepts.
Must have personnel management experience.
Experience in managing research efforts
Demonstrated experience leading complex projects
Ability to obtain/maintain Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
PhD Degree from an accredited college or university
Experience leading a scientific research effort either in the social sciences or data sciences
Experience working with military clients or stakeholders
Familiarity briefing senior military and civilian leaders
Active DoD Clearance
