Job Summary
The Database and Reports Analyst supports the use of technological platforms, produces data in a timely manner and serves as a subject matter expert in Student Services related processes including enrollment, tracking students, caseload management, survey dissemination and response collections and organization, student outreach and submission of data for reporting.
This is a temporary grant funded position through June 30 year 2024 contingent upon grantor funding and grant extensions.
This grant position will be eligible for participation in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) after 6 consecutive months of continuous employment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collects, generates and uses college-wide databases to generate routine and customized reports
Maintains database and other systems related to caseload management and student outreach
Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems encountered in various platforms
Uses student platforms to support information delivery, query, reporting analysis and performance management needs
Recommends enhancements to the available functionalities via different platforms based on MDC feedback and current trends
Collaborates with Director and IT personnel in implementing recommended enhancements to the technological platforms
Designs and coordinates the delivery of outreach communications and retention efforts using various technological platforms
Assists in developing and facilitating training regarding recruitment, advisement and career development technology platforms
Assists in developing surveys, collecting and analyzing data
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and one (1) year of related work experience; or Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and five (5) years of related work experience
All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
Advanced proficiency in managing educational technology platforms
Expertise using Microsoft office software including Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Word
Ability to leverage technology to facilitate the management of student caseloads
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments
Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
Possess accurate and detail-oriented skills ensuring accuracy and integrity of work
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
Additional Requirements
The final candidate is to successfully complete a background screening and reference check process.
