Job Summary

Under direction, participates in planned research by analyzing, abstracting, entering and managing data in a research database. Monitors and maintains relevant databases. Performs descriptive statistical analysis. Also coordinates abstract writing and presentation of data as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in research by analyzing, abstracting, entering, and presenting data using research databases.

o Review patient charts and record and summarize data clearly and concisely with 100% accuracy.

o Analyze and abstract data with 100% accuracy.

o Enter abstracted data into database with 100% accuracy

  • Coordinate abstract writing and presentation as required.

  • Monitor and maintain research database.

  • Descriptive Statistics

  • Act as divisional resource for research database management.

  • Keep up-to-date with all possible database capabilities as well as related software and technology.

  • Participate in clinical research within area and in other activities to support the project.

  • Collaborate with and support students engaged in research

  • Perform other related duties as a result of the research performed, such as literature searches, etc.

Required Education and Experience

Required Education: BA/BS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Epidemiology or Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Experience: Two years of experience with clinical databases and clinical research.

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Preferred Education: Masters degree

Preferred Experience: IRB knowledge

Additional Technical Requirements

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

  • Attentive to detail and data accuracy; meticulous.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, exercising discretion and judgment.

  • Able to work accurately, work well with others and pay strict attention to detail.

  • Must be adaptable to do work which is varied and requires an intellectual and professional approach.

  • Requires a high degree of flexibility of skills and hours.

  • Experience with computer programs including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access preferred.

VIEW JOBS 12/12/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-12T00:00 The Investment Strategy Research Analyst is a member of Glenmede's investment strategy team responsible for the research and development of Glenmede's overall investment strategy and asset allocation process. This team is also responsible for the presentation and communication surrounding allocation decisions and processes. The Investment Strategy Research Analyst reports to the Chief Investment Officer for Private Wealth and will work closely with investment-related professionals across all functions and departments including equity and fixed income management, manager research, private equity, marketing, relationship management, business development and legal to support the overall private wealth objectives. RESPONSIBILITES: Investment Strategy Research. Tracking and reporting on domestic and international economic and financial markets (Glenmede's Leading Economic Indicators and Recession Models, Global Valuations and Expected Returns, etc.). Perform investment-specific research of existing holdings and potential opportunities. Coordinate research efforts with other groups within Glenmede (Manager Research, Quantitative, Equities, Fixed Income). Investment Data Analytics & Oversight. Manage regularly updated performance analytics and other statistical information used in the investment strategy process. Develop tools for economic, market, manager or portfolio analysis. Presentation and Communication. Assist in preparing the EMO (Economic and Market Outlook) and other presentations for client and/or prospect meetings or webinars. Help write weekly Investment Strategy publications, Glenmede's "Investment Strategy Notes" and "Top 5," which outline important global economic and financial market events. Act as a spokesperson at client meetings, prospect meetings, conferences, and events. Team Building. Serve as resource to Glenmede relationship managers regarding issues related to investment strategy. Coordination of, administration of, and assistance with the day-to-day operations of the investment strategy department. QUALIFICATIONS: * MBA and/or CFA designation with related experience. * 4-7 years of related experience in investment/wealth management. * Experience with various asset classes / economic analysis. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience communicating and presenting investment process and strategy. * Ability to multi-task and build relationships with a variety of stakeholders. * Well organized, attentive to detail and able to multi-task. * Self-starter, enthusiastic, able to engender confidence. * Team orientation, able to build internal and external networks. * Strong working knowledge of / experience with excel and powerpoint. * Familiarity with Factset / Bloomberg.
