Position Summary:

Perform day-to-day activities of research studies from inception to conclusion as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, enroll and obtain consent/assent from research participants.

  • Coordinate research protocols including arranging necessary appointments and procedures, working collaboratively with other departments within the institution, and maintaining contact with study participants.

  • Conduct the activities of the study according to protocols.

  • Collect and enter study data.

  • Identify problems or obstacles in the study/procedures related research protocols and communicate to the study investigators.

  • Assure compliance with all relevant IRB processes and other regulatory agency requirements.

  • Maintain study timeline including tracking deadlines for the study.

Technical Expertise

  • Expertise in technical skills related to the completion of study activities as required by protocol.

  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education and Experience

  • Associate degree in nursing or other related health care related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Minimum one (1) year of related experience in medical (research) setting required. Pediatric experience preferred.

  • Experience in a healthcare related field or research is preferred.

Responsibilities Coordinate and manage leadership programs, events, seminars, office space, and student personnel for the Institute of Leadership Advancement in the College of Business and Professional Development Center in which the Institute is housed. Direct and manage daily internal operations of the Institute's programs, policies and procedures. Assist Director and Outreach team in developing, marketing and implementing student success initiatives that build leadership and other professional development programs that build Career Readiness competencies and increase student success. Assist Director in external management needs including Advisory Boards and other external constituencies. Recruit students into the Institute's leadership designation programs. Promote the institute through development of marketing and communication materials. Track, monitor and engage their progress in the progression of designations. Advise students on identification and successful completion of leadership experience projects. Assist the director as needed in the successful operation of the Institute's overall outreach and executive education programs. Collaborate with other colleges and other UA student life activities and others as needed. Support efficiency and effectiveness of the Professional Development Center with activities assigned by Directors. Creation and delivery of programs that build leadership and other career readiness competencies. Research, collect and interpret data for continuous improvement recommendations for new policies and programs. Track and administer budgets, student participation and other operational activities. Provide administrative support to the Directors, including maintaining calendars. Prepare/process purchase requisitions for the purchase of supplies, payment of invoices, and reimbursement of funds. Create, maintain, and update department file systems (paper & computerized) for reports, projects, and decision making. Manage the efforts of student assistants. Required Qualifications Requires a relevant Bachelor's Degree. Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in general project management or event coordination along with experience advising/working directly with college students. Ability to work with diverse constituents required. Comfort and expertise in working with and motivating student success required. Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and research skills required. Ability to exercise independent judgment in resolving issues or concerns, coordinate programs, work in a fast-paced environment, and utilize current and new technologies required. Ability to direct, motivate and monitor the work of student and/or temporary workers required. Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as basic computer skills including word processing and database capabilities required.
