Manages multiple projects aimed at developing and implementing comprehensive, integrated marketing, and communication plans focused on informing and creating awareness for D-H's programs and services, specifically for the D-H/Geisel research enterprise.


  • Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive and integrated communications plans for D-H, and recommends development and maintenance of channels to deliver organizational messaging.

  • Responsible for content development and editing for publication, including story generation and dissemination to internal audiences. Assists on other D-H system stories, announcements, and rollout.

  • Serves as the communications contact for managers, physicians, researchers, department heads and other members of the management team, identifying needs and making recommendations for new programs and communication rollout. Provides advice on varied aspects of marketing strategy, and communications planning.

  • Assists in the development of internal communications, serving as a writer and editor of key leadership communications to internal audiences throughout D-H.

  • Works with other internal departments to maximize the effective reach of all electronic messaging, print publications, streaming video, events, and other internal communications targeted to employees.

  • Serves as a communications consultant/advisor to departments, sections, programs, and/or strategic initiatives where a comprehensive approach to internal communications is critical to success.

  • Works with vendors in the design, production, and distribution of marketing collateral, advertising, and promotional items.

  • Researches, writes, proofreads, and edits features and D-H informational, educational, and promotional publications.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or writing/journalism required.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and oral and written/editing communication skills essential along with attention to detail and a working knowledge of MS office products.

  • Working knowledge of web Content Management Systems and social media experience preferred.

For more information, please see JOB SUMMARY Global Rescue is seeking a strategic communications executive with a proven track record of success. The Director of Communications will be responsible for the communications strategy, and development and delivery of a broad range of corporate and marketing communications; and thought leadership and public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the market, company, products and its leadership. This individual will be an ambassador for the Global Rescue brand, and will build relationships with the media, influencers and internal and external stakeholders. This individual will work closely with the Global Rescue leadership team and other thought leaders to develop and drive comprehensive marketing and communications programs, incorporating the vision, mission, values and strategic priorities of Global Rescue. RESPONSIBILITIES * Create and drive global communications strategies in coordination with senior leadership * Implement strategic communications plans to advance Global Rescue's brand identity, broaden awareness and increase visibility across key audiences – with a shared objective of maximizing ROI * Track, measure and value all earned, unearned and owned media * Develop and implement consistent and continuous media outreach focused on winning space in significant publications, and national, trade and channel outlets * Drive development of media, television and radio appearances; provide appropriate background, support, analysis and advice regarding each interaction * Provide counsel to senior management on media issues and serve as the company spokesperson, interacting with members of the media in a timely manner. * Lead PR content strategy founded on key messages tied to company vision, brand positioning and competitive advantages in the marketplace. * Proactively support engagement of client sponsorships/thought leadership * Establish company best practices and tools for communications protocol internally and externally * Manage the acquisition of client, member and public feedback; manage the Net Promoter Score calculator * Lead reputation management and crisis communications as needed * Develop and maintain strong, consistent and collaborative relationships with all department heads; provide content and related marketing strategy and support to all departments * Work with senior leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and key company messaging * Manage vendor relationships, as relevant to the function IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred * 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in internal and external communications, public relations and social media for a mid-size company * Demonstrated ability to create and drive global communications strategies , ideally in a global B2B/B2B2C environment * Exceptional business acumen with the ability to understand the commercial, operational and financial priorities of the business and align communications initiatives and activities on the areas of highest impact * Media relations experience, including extensive, established media relationships regionally, nationally and in relevant sports and adventure travel spaces * Proven ability to drive results and manage change in a dynamic environment by setting high standards and holding people accountable for performance * Critical thinking ability; independently and proactively identify problems, propose solutions and execute. * Proven ability to lead, facilitate, influence, and organize across groups and at multiple levels of the organization * Ability to make decisions in a changing environment, and anticipate future needs * Ability to thrive and stand out in a fast-paced organization * Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills a requirement Location: Lebanon, NH Compensation: salary based on experience + bonus + benefits Global Rescue LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
