Manages multiple projects aimed at developing and implementing comprehensive, integrated marketing, and communication plans focused on informing and creating awareness for D-H's programs and services, specifically for the D-H/Geisel research enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive and integrated communications plans for D-H, and recommends development and maintenance of channels to deliver organizational messaging.

  • Responsible for content development and editing for publication, including story generation and dissemination to internal audiences. Assists on other D-H system stories, announcements, and rollout.

  • Serves as the communications contact for managers, physicians, researchers, department heads and other members of the management team, identifying needs and making recommendations for new programs and communication rollout. Provides advice on varied aspects of marketing strategy, and communications planning.

  • Assists in the development of internal communications, serving as a writer and editor of key leadership communications to internal audiences throughout D-H.

  • Works with other internal departments to maximize the effective reach of all electronic messaging, print publications, streaming video, events, and other internal communications targeted to employees.

  • Serves as a communications consultant/advisor to departments, sections, programs, and/or strategic initiatives where a comprehensive approach to internal communications is critical to success.

  • Works with vendors in the design, production, and distribution of marketing collateral, advertising, and promotional items.

  • Researches, writes, proofreads, and edits features and D-H informational, educational, and promotional publications.

  • Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience in marketing, communications, and/or writing/journalism required.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and oral and written/editing communication skills essential along with attention to detail and a working knowledge of MS office products.

  • Working knowledge of web Content Management Systems and social media experience preferred.

Monitors grants activities, funding and expenditures budgeted under contracts and purchased services. Oversees data management, reporting and project communication with partners, sponsors & governmental agencies as appropriate. Responsibilities: * Organizes and manages implementation of project activities including evaluations, data collection and management, project coordination, and collaborative relations. * Coordinates and attends meetings to determine project requirements and participates in establishing timelines and project organization. * Tracks and manages program activity and collaborates with partners to assure integrity of project and timely problem resolution. * Conducts protocol reviews to assess the feasibility of potential studies. Seeks out new research opportunities. Participates in study site selection activities. * Prepares and submits regulatory documents to study sponsors and any applicable regulatory agencies. * Composes informed consent forms and protocol abstracts. Creates other study documents and study management tools. * Maintains study and regulatory documentation. Monitors and manages compliance with regulatory requirements for other members of the research team. * Assists and guides project assistants and other partners and supervises project staff as required. * Assures that data are successfully collected and managed so that confidentiality and data integrity is maintained, conduct data analysis as appropriate and provide reporting as required. * Organizes and participates in project meetings and follows up on communication among project participants in conjunction with Principal Investigators. * Monitors ongoing project plans, progress, budgets and expenditures and effectively communicates project status to leaders as applicable. * Prepares and initiates completion timelines and ensures all required project close out documents are obtained. * May develop training and instructional materials, manuals, and toolkits as needed. * May prepare project communications via web sites and written materials for partners, sponsors and governmental agencies. * Assists in proposal writing, and participates in development of papers and presentations. * Participates in project review and recommends ideas for improvement initiatives. * Performs all other duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of study with five (5) years of research experience or the equivalent of education and research required. * Master's Degree or PhD or foreign equivalent in relevant field, preferred. * Comprehensive knowledge of research methods, procedures, and techniques. * Experience in animal models may be required. * Previous project related work involving complex scheduling and communications preferred. * Exceptional organizational and management skills to plan and organize the research approach and project parameters. * Grant writing/management experience preferred. * Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills. * Knowledge of computer software applications used for research investigations.
