The Department of English at the University of Virginia invites applicants for a one-year, Postdoctoral Research Associate and Lecturer position in Modern and Contemporary Drama and Performance Studies.

We seek someone who is pursuing a vibrant research agenda in global drama and performance since 1900. Additional expertise in newer media is also welcome.

The successful candidate will contribute to our mission to strengthen the humanities by teaching three courses during the academic year and by participating in the intellectual life of the department. The appointment begins August 25, 2019.

QUALIFCATION REQUIRMENTS: Candidates must have received their PhD in English or related field no earlier than July 1, 2016 and must have degree in hand by July 1, 2019.
