Editasis seeking a highly motivated Research Associate I/II to join our ex vivopharmacology group. The candidate will be responsible for conductingpreclinical animal studies to support the development of gene-editing based exvivo cell therapies in multiple disease areas, including sickle cell diseaseand beta-thalassemia. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic teamand will interact with the discovery, platform, process development groups, aswell as contract research organizations. The successful candidate shoulddemonstrate strong work ethics and ability to work in a fast-paced and highlydemanding work environment.
Executein vivo studies including xenotransplantation of human hematopoietic stem andprogenitor cells in immunodeficient mice.
Performroutine injections (sc, ip, iv) in mice, monitor animal health, collect bloodsamples, perform necropsies.
Establishnew animal models as needed.
Cultureprimary cells and cell lines.
Performbasic molecular biology work such as DNA and RNA extraction and PCR.
